SB Legal Funding · Operating guide

Run the work.
Not the software.

Twenty is now the go-forward source for every Funding. Start in the Pipeline, update the record when the work changes, and use tasks for anything that needs a future touch.

The operating loop

Three surfaces. One source of truth.

You do not need to use every Twenty feature. These are the surfaces that run the day.

01

Scan

Open Funding Pipeline. Review In Review and Contracts Out. Look for stalled work.

02

Act

Open the record. Update lender, dates, missing information, and the current status.

03

Commit

If follow-up happens later, create a task. If the outcome changed, move the stage now.

The rule: no new spreadsheet rows. If a Funding exists, it exists in Twenty.

Direct entry

Add a Funding in under two minutes.

Use the smallest useful record. Add detail as the case develops; do not wait for perfect information.

Your checks are saved in this browser.

Stage transitions

Update the record when the work changes.

Select a moment in the lifecycle. Each action shows only the fields that matter then.

In Review

Keep the next blocker visible.

  • Update Status Detail
  • Record Needed From Atty
  • Create a task for the next follow-up

What are the imported reference views?

Imported Working Sheet — 6/29 and Funded — Imported 6/29 preserve the source workbook for comparison. They are references, not the go-forward workspace.

Operating agreement

Clear ownership keeps the CRM useful.

KC

Kim

Owns daily Funding updates, lender movement, dates, and operational status.

TN

Tamara

Updates the records she touches and completes assigned follow-up tasks.

JW

Jon

Reviews Pipeline and Contracts Out; keeps relationship and referral context current.

LeAP

LeAP

Owns configuration, cleanup, imports, integrations, and automation—not routine case entry.

Quick fixes

When something feels unclear.

I cannot find a Funding I just created.

Open All Fundings first. Confirm the stage is In Review or Contracts Out so it qualifies for the active views.

I do not know the canonical firm.

Keep the original shorthand in Attorney Office Label. Do not invent a new firm. LeAP can reconcile it safely.

I need to remember a follow-up.

Create a dated task on the Funding record. Do not bury the commitment in Status Detail or Notes.

The sidebar or views look stale.

Hard-refresh the browser. If the issue remains, send LeAP the view name and a screenshot.

Should I put this in the spreadsheet too?

No. Twenty is now the go-forward source. The imported sheet remains only as a reference.

You are ready when

A real Funding can move from intake to outcome without leaving Twenty.
